304 stainless steel is highly resistant to rust, tarnish, and corrosion, even when exposed to moisture, sweat, or the occasional accidental splash. This makes it ideal for keepsakes meant to be worn and cherished for years — not tucked away in a drawer.
Hypoallergenic Comfort
Unlike some metals that may irritate sensitive skin, 304 stainless steel is generally hypoallergenic, meaning it's unlikely to cause allergic reactions. It contains low levels of nickel (typically 8-10.5%) that are tightly bound in the alloy, which reduces skin exposure — making it a safe and comfortable choice for most people.
For the majority of people, the nickel content in 304 stainless steel is not enough to cause a reaction.
If you have a known nickel allergy or sensitivity, it's best to avoid 304 stainless steel, as prolonged exposure can lead to skin irritation or allergic responses.
